Shipping medicine (restrictions)
Medicine is the most restricted category we handle. Some is allowed in personal quantities with a prescription, some is refused outright, and the rules differ by country.
What every country asks for
- A copy of the prescription in the receiver's name
- A doctor's letter for longer courses
- The medicine in original, sealed packaging with the label visible
- A personal quantity, usually no more than three months' supply
What we will not ship
- Controlled drugs, including many painkillers, sedatives and sleep aids
- Injectables and anything needing refrigeration
- Herbal or unani medicines with unlisted ingredients to countries that require registration
- Any medicine without a prescription
Country notes
- UAE and Saudi Arabia control several medicines sold over the counter in Pakistan. These are refused even with a prescription.
- The USA and UK may allow personal prescription medicine, but parcels can be held for inspection.
- Australia requires many medicines to come through a registered importer.
This page is general guidance, not medical or legal advice. Rules change; we check the current position for each medicine before accepting it.
